Women's Golf Competes at ASU Invite

TEMPE, Ariz. - In a field laden with Top 25-ranked teams, the California Golden Bears women's golf team shot a three-day total of 962 to finish 16th at the PING/Arizona State Invitational April 3-5 on the Karsten Golf Course.

Stanford won the team title, shooting a three-round total of 872 to defeat runnerup San Jose State by six strokes (878). Senior Kellee Booth, playing for the defending NCAA Champion and host Arizona State Sun Devils, won the individual title, shooting a one-under-par 215 for the tourney. Booth was actually tied with Stanford Hilary Homeyer at 215, but the final places were determined by a scorecard playoff.

For the Bears, sophomore Nicole Bolter was the top finisher, tying for 49th place (234), while sophomore Lisa Yamane tied for 68th place (239).
