BERKELEY -

Sophomore forward Andrea Earle earned her third NorPac West Offensive Player of the Week award. It is the seventh time this season that a Cal player has earned a NorPac weekly honor.

Earle scored a second-half goal against UC Davis that gave Cal a 2-0 advantage at the time. The Bears went on to win, 3-1. She also netted a goal in Sunday's showdown against the Cardinal. Her score was Cal's first of the game and tied the contest 1-1 at the time. Stanford went on to edge the Bears 3-2 in that game.

Earle currently leads the NorPac with 14 goals and is 15th among all NCAA Division I players with a 0.93 goals per game average.

This is the third time that Earle has earned the NorCal Offensive Player of the Week award this year. Senior forward Megan Shimojima and sophomore forward Jordan O'Reilly have also earned the honor. Freshman forward Lara Kruggel has twice been named the NorPac West Newcomer of the Week.

The Bears have one regular-season game remaining on the schedule as they take on the UC Davis Aggies on Sunday, Oct. 23 in Davis. The Bears will then have an off week before heading to Stanford for the 2011 NorPac Tournament, Nov. 3-5.
