Clara Goni: I have so many! But I like to be called Clari.
CalBears.com: What is the most surprising thing about college?
MS: Every person I meet comes up with a new nickname for me. When I was little I would climb up and on top of anything and everything, my parents started calling me monkey; and to this day you can hear them on the sidelines of every game yelling "Go Monk". But so far on the team I'm known mostly as either Mickey (Mekki for the foreigners) or Lucky.
CalBears.com: What made you come to Cal?
CG: That everything is like the movies I have seen!
CalBears.com: Where is your favorite place to eat on campus?
CG: Crossroads. We, the freshmen at least, always go there. You have so many options to eat!
CalBears.com: What made you decide come to Cal?
CG: I wanted to play outside my country, and also I wanted to study. Coming to the USA was a great opportunity to do both things.
CalBears.com: Who are the most influential people in your life?
CG: Definitely, my parents. They have been next to me my whole life. I believe that without their help I would not be here today.
CalBears.com: If you go one place in the world, where and when would you travel to and why?
CG: It is a hard question, but I believe I would like to travel to India.
CalBears.com: What are some hobbies you have outside of your sport?
CG: Singing, and playing the guitar. I do them just for fun.
CalBears.com: What do you do to relax?
CG: When I want to get relax, the first thing that I do is listening to music. I think that music is the best way to clear your mind from your daily routine.
