After redshirting her first season on campus, junior Claire Dougherty has been a fixture in the Cal lineup. She finished the 2010 campaign with seven goals, among the team leaders. The forward was twice selected as the NorPac Offensive Player of the Week during the 2010 season. Before coming to Cal, she participated in the USA Field Hockey Futures Program for three years. She and Cal teammate Jessica Kreck helped lead her Archbishop Middy High School team to back-to-back co-Central Coast Section (CCS) Championships in 2005 and 2006. Claire is from Santa Clara, Calif., and her birthday is on New Year's Eve (Dec. 31, 1989). She is Media Studies major at Cal.
