BERKELEY - California had nine players named to the 2012 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division I National Academic squad, the organization announced Tuesday.

The National Academic Squad, compiled by the National Field Hockey Coaches' Association, recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2012-13 academic year.

Receiving the honor for the Bears were:
