BERKELEY - The California Golden Bears will be hosting two 6 v 6 clinics and tournaments this year. The U-16 tournament and clinic will be held on Saturday, March 10 with the U-19 tournament and clinic being held on Sunday, March 11.

The clinics and tournament will be held at Maxwell Family Field. Each day, the instructional clinic will begin sharply at 7:45am (There is a CAPTAINS MEETING at 7:30 a.m.). The tournament will follow clinic and will end at 3:00 pm.

Officials will be provided and the field will be watered for the event.

Registration must be submitted by February 28. Space is limited. We are capping the event at 21 teams, and games will be 15 minutes long. Applications will be on a first come basis. You can either email or mail your entry form (found at the top of this page). The cost is $275.00 per team (non-refundable). Checks should be made payable to "UC Regents-Cal Field Hockey".

Rules:
l. Each team must have a goalkeeper. Goalkeepers can play on two teams if necessary.
2. Fouls within the restraining line:
a) a "power play" shall be taken by the attack on the restraining line when the defense fouls.
b) a free hit shall be taken by the defense anywhere on the restraining line when the attack fouls.
3. A power play will replace a penalty corner. (Details will follow with a game schedule.)
4. Balls intentionally hit over the end line by the defense will be a power play by the offense.
