Field Hockey Falls to Old Dominion

NORFOLK, Va.-The Old Dominion University field hockey team continued a five-game win streak Sunday with a 9-0 blanking of California at Foreman Field. It is the ninth shutout win of the season for Old Dominion. The top-ranked lady Monarchs improved to 15-1 (6-0 in the CAA) while the Golden Bears fell to 5-7. Sophomore Kim Miller led the strong Old Domonion offensive attack with two goals and three assists. Seven different Lady Monarchs scored on the afternoon. Old Dominion dominated on defense as well, allowing no Golden Bears shots. For California, Karen Hagen and Sarah Hoehn each recorded seven saves.
