Kate studied jazz, tap, and ballet at the Dance Academy in Modesto, Calif., for 13 years. She has also been a member of UC Berkeley's Danceworx for six semesters.

In addition to her involvement on the Cal Dance Team, Kate is an intern for C.R.E.A.T.E. (Creative Residencies for Emerging Artists Teaching Empowerment). Through her involvement with this organization, she teaches dance classes in a local elementary school's after school program once a week.

Kate's hobbies include reading, traveling and learning about other cultures. She studied abroad in Santiago, Chile, from June to December, 2010.

Kate is a graduating senior who is currently applying to graduate school. She hopes to receive a Master's Degree in Bilingual Education and eventually work as an ESL teacher.
