BERKELEY - Prospective athletes interested in learning about becoming part of California women's crew should attend an informational gathering in the Club Meeting room inside Haas Pavilion at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3.

One third of the team is composed of athletes who had not rowed before college, and they play a key role in the success of the team. In addition, four members of the 2008 U.S. Olympic women's 8+ began their crew careers as college walk-ons.

We are looking for tall athletes (5-9 and taller) as well as smaller athletes (under 115 pounds)
