Q: How did you get involved in crew? A: All my friends decided to do it freshman year of high school, so I thought I'd try it out. They all ended up quitting after the first year but I loved it and have been rowing ever since.Q: Why did you choose to come to Cal? A: I saw in Cal's crew team a great coach, hardworking nice girls, and the possibility of being national rowing champions within reach. I wanted to come to Cal to make a difference and help the team achieve that goal.
Q: At the beginning of the season, what is the one thing you most look forward to? What is the thing you dread the most? A: I look the most forward to rowing with people who are amazing rowers. I dread 2K tests on the erg the most.
Q: What is your pre-race routine/superstition? A: I drink a whole bottle of red Gatorade an hour before the race and down a tri-berry pack of Gu 15 minutes before the start.
Q: What are the last 3 CD's you bought? A: Maroon five, the strokes "hard to explain" CD, and radiohead's Kid-A CD. I haven't bought CDs in awhile...
Q: If you were stranded on a desert island, who would you bring with you, and what 3 things would you want to take? A: I'd bring someone who knew how to fly a helicopter, water, food, and ... a helicopter.
Q: What is your greatest achievement in crew? A: Winning Pac-10s last year in the JV- eight and placing third in the U.S. at nationals.
Q: What do you do in your spare time? A: Sleep, drive to random places and explore, eat out, go to theme parks, build things.....anything that pops into my head.
Q: If you could trade places with anyone (celebrity or not) who would it be? Why? A: Why would I want to trade places with anyone? I think my life is awesome.
Q: Who/what inspires you? A: Seeing people really pour their hearts into something, anything really, is inspirational.
Q: What is the one song/type of music that you think should be banned from the erg room? A: The "get tipsy" song, also songs from musicals, songs by Phil Collins, or for that matter any song that falls under the category of "easy listening".
