No. 1 Cal Set To Race as Team Jill Against Stanford

Top-Ranked Cal and Stanford Will Meet in 37th Big Row

International: Represented the U.S. in quad sculls at the 2011 U23 World Championships, which were held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands

California: 2011 (Freshman): Rowed on Cal's varsity 8+ boat that placed fourth at the NCAA Championships, won at the Pac-10 Championships and in the dual meets against Stanford and Washington.

Personal: Born in Melbourne, Australia ... parents are Lon Popa and Sue Chapman-Popa ... mother, Sue, won bronze in the 1984 Summer Olympic Games in the 4+ and was a world champion in the 8+ ... father, Lon, also placed third in the 8+ in the '84 Games, and also competed in the 1988 Games ... was a world champion in every age group at the world championships in the 8+ ... has a brother, Ted ... traveled to Bali last summer ... also played basketball in high school ... undeclared major ... born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

The best part of the University is: The atmosphere. Everyone is equal, and you get something out of every experience. You learn to be who you want to be and can find where you belong.

What sets Cal apart: It's so prestigious, but modest.

My greatest achievement was: The Pac 10 varsity grand final in 2011. The World Champs 2011 was an awesome experience, to be aroudn the best.
