Personal: Lists her biggest sports moment as finishing her first trail running half-marathon ... was a varsity swimmer and played varsity water polo all four years at Modesto High School ... first-team all-conference her senior year, team MVP, second-team all-conference as a junior and an honorable mention selection as a sophomore ... in swimming, her squad finished first in league all four years, and in water polo, her team was the co-champs in her junior campaign ... collected 124 goals her senior year in water polo ... competed for the club team Modesto Stanislaus for water polo ... hobbies include, crossfit, photography, hiking and open-water swimming ... hiked half dome last summer ... graduated high school with an International Baccalaureate Diploma ... parents are Tim and Suzanne Byrd ... parents, brother, grandfather and great grandfather all attended Cal, and her sister, Laura, currently attends Cal ... his five siblings ... her brother, Nick, boxed at Cal and her brothers, Eric and Mikey, played water polo at Harvard ... undeclared major ... hopes to work for an international nonprofit company after going to graduate school.
