BERKELEY - California head coach Lindsay Gottlieb will host a live chat using the Twitter social networking site Friday afternoon to speak to fans about the four-player signing class announced Tuesday. Gottlieb will chat with fans beginning at 12 noon for approximately 30 minutes.

Fans will be encouraged to tweet their questions to Coach Gottlieb using the Twitter hashtag "#AskCoachG" and can begin sending their questions in Friday morning for the coach to answer although live participation is recommended. Coach Gottlieb's answers to questions will be relayed via her twitter account at "@CalCoachG".

California signed what has been tabbed as a top 20 recruiting class by both the All Star Girls Report (No. 13) and Blue Star Basketball (No. 20). The signees included Hind Ben Abdelkader (Bruxelles, Belgium / Sint-Katelijne Waver), Mercedes Jefflo (Compton, CA / Centennial Senior HS), Courtney Range (Stockton, CA / Manteca HS) and Kendall "KC" Waters (Oakland, CA / Bishop O'Dowd HS).

No. 12 California (1-0) returns to action tonight to take on East Bay rival Saint Mary's. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Haas Pavilion.
