TEAM NOTES California broke a 12-year old school record for rebounds in a game with 66 (27O-39D) Friday night. The 66 rebounds surpasses the record of 64 set twice - vs Washington (Jan. 29, 2000) and vs UTEP (Nov. 20, 1983). The Bears improve to 6-0 for the first time since the 2008-09 NCAA Sweet 16 team began the year 7-0 California committed more turnovers than the opponent for the first time this season (25-to-13) despite both teams registering eight steals each. California failed to score 80 points for the second time this season in the 63-47 victory. After the Monarchs closed to within four points (51-47), the Bears held Old Dominion scoreless over the final 8:24 of the game by closing out on a 12-0 run. The team's combined to go 1-for-16 from 3pt range with Layshia Clarendon hitting the only shot beyond the arc. Both teams each hit only one jump shot in the first half with the rest of the points coming either in the point or from the free throw line.
