SEATTLE (AP) - Amber Hall and Jamie Redd combined for 12 points in overtime
as No. 21 Washington rallied to defeat California 83-78 on Saturday.
It was the Huskies' 12th straight win over the Bears, who have lost 12 in a
row overall and haven't won a Pac-10 road game in more than two years.
Hall scored five points in overtime and finished with 32 points and 13
rebounds for Washington (17-7, 8-7 Pac-10). Redd had seven of her 24 points in
the extra session and also grabbed 11 rebounds.
Paige Bowie scored 24 points for California (5-19, 1-13). Masa Radovic and
Amber Lacey each added 14.
California led for most of the game and had a 70-64 lead with two minutes
remaining in regulation, but was outscored 7-1 down the stretch.
Molly Hills hit two free throws with 14.8 seconds left in regulation to put
Washington up 71-70.
Cal's Lauren Ashbaugh hit one of two free throws with 4.8 seconds left to
send the game into overtime.
Washington scored the first seven points in OT and coasted from there.
The Bears' last conference road win was a 91-83 victory at Washington State
on Jan. 24, 1996.
California last defeated Washington on Feb. 22, 1992, at Berkeley.
The Bears led by as many as 11 points early, but a 14-4 Washington run late
in the half pulled the Huskies to within 34-33 at halftime.
