BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) - Nicole Powell had 16 points and nine rebounds as No. 3 Stanford rolled to its 14th straight victory and remained unbeaten in the Pac-10 with a 79-51 victory Saturday over California.

Reserve Sebnem Kimyacioglu had 14 points, making four of five 3-point attempts for the Cardinal (22-1, 12-0).

Kiki Williams led short-handed Cal (6-15, 1-11) with a career-high 18 points. The Golden Bears played without leading scorer and rebounder Ami Forney, who had the flu, and reserve center Olga Volkova, who twisted her ankle in the morning shootaround. The 6-1 Williams started in place of the 6-2 Forney, and the Bears didn't have a player above 6-1 available against a tall Stanford team. Freshman forward Leigh Gregory also was in double figures for Cal with 10 points. Cal freshman forward Khadijah Coakley tied her career high of 5 rebounds in 11 minutes off the bench.

Bethany Donaphin added 12 points and 10 rebounds for Stanford, which hasn't been defeated since a six-point loss to Tennessee on Dec. 16.

Stanford shot 47 percent while holding Cal to 30 percent and outrebounding the Golden Bears 49-35. The Cardinal made a 19-0 run in the second half to turn the game into a rout after the Bears were as close as 50-38 with 15:11 to play. The Bears kept the game under double digits for most of the first half, trailing only 28-21 with 4:15 until halftime. But, Stanford closed the half on a 14-6 run.

Another positive for Cal was that the Bears had under 20 turnovers for the fifth-consecutive game.

Stanford has beaten Cal in 17 of their last 18 meetings - including 16 wins by 10 points or more, and 13 by 20 points or more. The Bears, still struggling after a 4-0 start, have lost of eight of their last nine.

With 12 straight victories in conference play, the Cardinal have turned the Pac-10 race into a one-sided contest. Stanford leads the conference in 12 of the 19 major statistical categories.

"I play with what we've got and who we've got, and we go for it. We had a great practice yesterday. We had a great shoot around. Sometimes you deal with adversity. And, we had to deal with adversity. This year we've dealt with different types of things. I've always preached that you have to be strong, and you do have to deal with adversity. We didn't have any options. When you can have players that go out and don't put their heads down because of that, they did deal with adversity. And, they went out and played pretty darn well."

"(Almost) same score. We don't want scores with that kind of separation. Our transition defense was a whole lot better tonight. Our rebounding we felt was a whole lot better tonight. We didn't shoot it quite as well, and we let them shoot it a little bit better."

"I thought that hurt us a lot. There were a couple times though where we had one player think we were in man, and we were zone. That hurt us. They worked against our zone. They know they struggled a little bit against our zone. That was the one adjustment they did make. They shot it better tonight than they did at Stanford, for whatever reason. We decided to play a lot more man in the second half, but basically the score was very similar. You wonder if you should have gone back and tried that zone, but I hate to give up threes. We gave up three in the second half. That was better than six (in the first half). We stayed more with the man (in the second half). We have to score to press. We did want to press more. I thought our press rattled them a little bit. They don't like the pressure."

On Kiki Williams Play
"You could tell that she was feeling it. She wasn't intimidated by their size. We ran a couple of isolation type plays to her, and she finished on them. When she finished on the first one, I knew she would finish on the second one, so we ran it back to her a couple of times."
