As a junior in 2002-03:
Came off the bench in 19 games, averaging 3.3 points and 1.5 rebounds per outing...showed her potential when she posted a career-high 18 points in only 14 minutes to help Cal defeat Arizona State on Dec. 29...also recorded 12 points and five boards in the Oakland Tribune Classic championship game against Colorado...added nine points at Mercer Jan. 2...saw double-digit minutes in 10 games, with a season-high 20 vs. Colorado.
As a sophomore in 2001-02:
After serving as a reserve as a freshman, recognized as an honorable mention All-Pac-10 selection for her increased production as a starter as a sophomore...started 26 of the 28 games she played in...finished second on the team in scoring at 9.2 points per game...also second among Cal players in scoring in Pac-10 games at 9.8 ppg...posted 13 double-figure scoring games, including 10 in Pac-10 play...tallied at least 10 points in five-straight league games...poured in a career-high 17 points vs. USC Dec. 28 and a career-best nine rebounds vs. No. 13 Georgia Dec. 2...also ranked second on the team for steals (40) and three-pointers made (20)...selected to the Oakland Tribune Classic all-tournament team.
As a freshman in 2000-01:
Saw action in all 28 games, making her first collegiate start in the season finale at Arizona...selected honorable mention Pac-10 All-Freshman...averaged 3.8 points, 1.8 assists and 1.0 steals per game...averaged 4.2 points per game in league games...one of her best games of the season was at Oregon State (Jan. 13), when she helped Cal overcome a 10-0 deficit to start the game to win 79-72...had career highs of 13 points, six rebounds and four steals in that game...dished out a career-high three assists in road games against Arizona (Mar. 10) and San Jose State (Dec. 28)...also scored 10 points each against Florida International (Dec. 3) and at home against Stanford (Jan. 20).
As a senior in 1999-00, helped lead Narbonne to a 34-0 record and the state title, averaging 11 points, eight assists, five rebounds and four steals per game...Narbonne was ranked No. 1 in the nation by USA Today throughout O'Keith's senior season...named all-league and all-city as a senior...at the National Tournament of Champions, hit six three-pointers to help her team win the title...as a junior, paced her team to a 31-2 record and a city championship...also as a junior, was selected her team's Defensive Player of the Year and to the all-tournament team of the Oregon City Tournament...named MVP of the 1997 Watts Summer Games.
LaTasha Denise O'Keith was born April 26, 1982 in Bellflower, CA...one of two Cal players from Narbonne (Amber White is the other)...enjoys singing...has a younger brother, Marcus, who is a freshman tailback on the Cal football team...parents are Mark and Jackie O'Keith...dad played football and mother played basketball in junior college...intends to major in business administration.
