Bears Participate in Programming and Educational Conference
Allie Rowe enters her third year at the University of California, Berkeley. As the Director of Student-Athlete Affairs, she works with the student-athlete population, coaches, Bay Area corporations, and campus student affairs professionals to provide programming in all areas related to: leadership development, career preparation, community outreach, personal enhancement, health and safety, and student-athlete wellness. Additionally, she serves as the advisor for Bear SAAC, Cal's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Rowe is a former student-athlete golfer from University of Hawaii, majoring in Political Science and Speech/Communications. She has extensive leadership experience including Chair of the University of Hawaii SAAC, President of Western Athletic Conference SAAC, student-athlete representative for the athletic department booster organization and Athletic Advisory Board, and team captain of Women's Golf. She received a national service award for all of her the community outreach involvement including the initiation and oversight of campus Relay for Life event. In her final year, Rowe was honored with the Jack Bonham Award given annually to the school's top scholar-athlete recognizing achievement in athletic excellence, academic achievement, public service, leadership, and character.
Prior to joining the Cal Athletics staff, Rowe served as the Director of Golf Operations where she supported the golf staff, organized tournaments and fundraisers and corresponded with donors and alumni.
Rowe recently earned her Master of Arts in the Cultural Studies of Sport in Education program here at the University of California, Berkeley.
