Academic Honors Luncheon Lauds Student-Athletes

California's Athletic Department lauded the academic achievements of the Golden Bears at its annual Student-Athlete Academic Honors Luncheon held Thursday at the Pauley Ballroom on campus.

Jill Costello Receives Hall of Fame Service Award

Jill Costello, a former Cal coxswain who inspired so many Golden Bears and others from around the world throughout her brave battle with lung cancer, has been selected as the 2011 recipient of the Hall of Fame Service Award.

Golden Bear Student-Athletes Give Back

California student-athletes, through the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), have been very involved in giving back to the Berkeley community. Most recently, the Golden Bears helped by distributing lunches to the homeless and hosting a Special Olympics basketball skills clinic.

Student-Athletes Read to Local Children

Many California student-athletes took time out of their busy schedule of classes and practices to visit several elementary schools and read to students as part of Read Across America on March 2.
