BERKELEY - Junior running back Marshawn Lynch rushed for 67 yards, including a 13-yard gain, as No. 18 California defeated Stanford, 26-17, Saturday at Memorial Stadium in the 109th Big Game.

Lynch, who was named the Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Year this past week, also caught a pass for 25 yards.

The Oakland Product has now surpassed the 1,200-yard rushing mark, as he currently sits on 1,245 yards with one game left to play in the 2006 season. He is also averaging 6.1 yards per carry.

For his career, Lynch now has 3,119 yards rushing and is just 34 yards behind Chuck Muncie for third place all time in career rushing.

Lynch and the Golden Bears return to the field for their final game of the season in the Holiday Bowl in San Diego, Calif. against Texas A&M on Dec. 28.
