BERKELEY, CA - California Water Polo Alum Daron Craft passed away suddenly this past weekend while playing Water Polo in Burlingame. Daron, a four-year letterwinner at Cal, helped the Golden Bears to back-to-back National Championships in 1987 and 1988. Craft is survived by his wife Ronda and two-year-old daughter Teagan.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Daron's family. DC was a big part of the Cal Water Polo Family and my life. We came to Cal together in 1985 and spent five years amassing endless memories. We are all stunned by this tragic loss.

A vigil will be held this Friday evening, February 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. and a mass will take place Saturday morning at 11 a.m., with a local reception immediately following. Both services will take place at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, 1721 Hillside Drive, Burlingame CA.
