Los Angeles -- Top-ranked USC defeated No. 3 California 10-8, in the semi-finals of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Tournament Saturday at USC's McDonald's Swim Stadium.

Brian Kinsel led the Golden Bears (20-7, 6-4), with three goals, while Marty Matthies had two. Michael Sharf, Shea Buckner and John Mann each added one goal.

The win continues USC's 16 game win streak and brings the Trojans' record to 23-1 and 10-0 in MPSF play. The Trojans face Stanford in the championship game Sunday against Stanford at 3 p.m.

On Friday, the Golden Bears opened tournament play with a 13-12 win against UCLA in overtime.
