STOCKTON, Calif. - The No. 4-ranked California men's water polo team (8-2) defeated No. 16 Pacific (10-5), 11-7, Saturday (Sept. 26) at the Chris Kjeldsen Pool Complex in Stockton. Sophomore attacker Ivan Rackov registered a hat trick with three goals to lead the Golden Bears to victory. Sophomore attacker Cory Nasoff, senior attacker Spencer Warden and freshman utility Spencer White each contributed two goals apiece. Sophomore utility Zach Greenwood and sophomore attacker Charlie Steffens added one goal each to the Cal tally and sophomore goalie Wil Toppen sealed up the Cal net with seven saves on the day. As well as his team-high three goals, Rackov also led Cal with seven steals and three assists, while Nasoff added five steals. The Bears next host defending national champion USC in a key MPSF match on Saturday, Oct. 3 at noon at Spieker Aquatics Complex.
