STANFORD, CALIF. -

The No. 3-ranked Cal men's water polo team (6-0), paced by three goals apiece from junior Collin Smith, sophomore Aleksa Saponjic and freshman Colin Mulcahy, dominated No. 16 Air Force, 19-2, Saturday (Sept. 16) morning in the first round of the NorCal Invitational at Stanford.

The Golden Bears, who will next play No. 6-ranked UC Irvine at 6:15 p.m. Saturday, held a 10-2 lead entering the fourth period and then shutout the Falcons, 9-0, in the final period. UC Irvine had defeated No. 11-ranked UC San Diego, 11-8 in overtime, in another first round match.

Junior goalie Michael Boggan finished with 10 saves, while 10 different players scored goals for Cal.
