AS A SOPHOMORE (2007): Was named a 2007 ACWPC third-team All-American, first-team All-MPSF and second-team NCAA All-Tournament...scored two goals with six steals, two ejections earned and an assist in during the NCAA Tournament victories over Navy and USC...was the Nov. 5 MPSF Co-Player of the Week with three goals, six assists and five steals versus UC Irvine and UC Santa Barbara...scored the winning goal versus UCLA with 25 seconds left in the SoCal Open third-place match Oct. 14...had six goals, five steals, three ejections earned and two field blocks during the SoCal Open...scored three goals at the MPSF Tournament...led the team with 51 steals and scored 27 goals in only 24 matches...also had 23 assists, 14 ejections earned and eight field blocks during the season...has 56 career goals...
AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2006): Was an honorable mention All-American, MPSF Newcomer of the Year, Daily Californian Newcomer of the Year, MPSF All-Tournament and MPSF All-Academic...led the Bears with 61 steals, had 29 goals and the match-winning assist to Jeff Tyrrell in the NCAA title match victory over USC...finished with 30 assists, 11 field blocks and eight ejections earned...scored four goals during the MPSF Tournament, including a team-high two goals in the championship match victory over USC...tallied a goal against USC in the national title match as well...redshirted in 2005...was the 2005 recipient of the Cal Alumni Leadership Scholarship Award...
HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL: At Soquel High School was league MVP, first-team All-SCCAL and second-team All-Central Coast Section as a senior...as a junior was first-team WCAL, second-team All-CCS and honorable mention All-NorCal...helped his team capture four consecutive league titles and a Central Coast Section championship in 2002...in the summer of 2007 played on the USA U20 squad that competed at the Junior World Championships in Los Alamitos, Calif....in the summer of 2006 competed in the Memorial Tournament in Italy...also helped Team USA to a silver medal at the High Tatras Cup, July 7-9 in Slovakia; and a gold medal at the Junior PanAm Games in Montreal...was a second-team All-American as a member of a Pacific Zone team that captured the 2005 National Age Group championship...in the summer of 2005 was a first-team All-American at the Junior Olympics, was an honorable mention All-American competing with the Lamorinda team that captured a bronze medal at the Men's Senior Nationals in Davis, Calif., and was on the USA National Youth Team that traveled to Slovakia...earned High School All-America honors as a member of a 200 freestyle relay team in 2003...was the recipient of the 2005 President's Award for Educational Excellence, and was his school's 2005 Scholar-Athlete of the Year...majoring in American studies...father, Scott, graduated from Cal in 1976...parents are Scott and Elisabeth Warden...born March 31, 1987, in Berkeley, Calif.
