San Diego, Calif. - Wayne Wong defeated UC San Diego's Jeff Wilson, 6-2, 6-2, and San Diego State's Gabe Coren, 7-6, 6-4, on Friday to advance to third round of the All-College Tournament hosted by the University of San Diego.

With his two victories, Wong will challenge Arizona's Colin O'Grady in third round action on Saturday, for the chance to advance to semifinals of the Flight 1 bracket. O'Grady narrowly advanced to the third round with a 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 victory over Loyola Maymount's Jaako Asuja on Friday. If Wong wins his third round match, he will face the winner of the match between San Diego's Nic Beuque and Fresno State's Alex Khron.

In Flight 2 singles action, Cal's Kevin Patrick fell to Fresno State's Dan O'Rourke, 6-3, 6-3, on Friday morning. Patrick then moved on to the Flight 2 singles back draw, only to lose again, 7-6, 7-5, to Derek Beytar of UC Riverside, effectively ending his tournament run.
