BERKELEY - California continues its busy fall schedule when it hosts the USTA Junior National Team in an exhibition match on Wednesday, Sept. 19, at the Hellman Tennis Complex and Channing Tennis Courts. The Golden bears will take on eight of the top junior players in the nation in the event, which is free to the public. The Cal squad - led by 20th-year head coach Peter Wright - includes such 2011-12 standouts as ITA All-American Christoffer Konigsfeldt, now a senior, and All-Pac-12 second-team selection Ben McLachlan, a junior. In the 2012-13 ITA Division I Preseason Men's Singles Rankings, McLachlan stands at No. 16, while Konigsfeldt is ranked at No. 124. In doubles, Konigsfeld/McLachlan have a No. 23 preseason ranking by the ITA. The USTA juniors consist of the following eight players: Henry Craig, Jack Murray, Joseph Digiulio, Konrad Zieba, Robert Bellamy, Deiton Baughman, Gage Brymer and T.J. Pura.
