Men's Tennis Loses to UCLA

LOS ANGELES - The No. 8 ranked UCLA men's tennis team opened its final weekend of Pac-10 Conference action with a 7-0 sweep of the 28th ranked University of California at the Los Angeles Tennis Center today. With the victory UCLA improves to 14-6 overall and 6-3 in Pac-10 action, while Cal fell to 14-5 overall and 7-4 in conference play.

Unlike the latest match between these teams which went down to the wire, UCLA dominated today's action. The Bruins claimed six singles matches in straight sets, and the other in three and also swept doubles play. The only match to go three sets was on court No. 4 where UCLA's Alex Decret was extended but held on for a 6-2, 4-6, 6-1 win over Cal's Adrian Barnes. UCLA won all three doubles matches by identical 8-3 scores.
