Cal Men's Tennis Defeats Arizona in a Close Match
TUCSON, Ariz. - The Wildcats battled the Golden Bears for a win on Friday afternoon. The Cats fell to the Bears with a final score of 4-3. It appeared the Cats would be at a disadvantage from the beginning with Henrik Wagner out of the No. one singles spot due to an injury.
Tom Haugland replaced Henrik and opened the match against Chris Santoso. Haugland played a strong match and defeated Santoso, 6-2, 6-4.
The Cats gave a solid performance at the No. 2 spot where Roland Kupka defeated Alex Sueur, 6-1, 6-2.
In doubles Kupka and Haugland defeated Nathan Jackman and Sueur, 8-3.
The loss to Cal gives the Wildcats a season record of 5-13. The Cats take on Stanford April 12.
