OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - California diver Sam Helvie finished the final day of the NCAA Zone E Championships in ninth on the platform, in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Helvie posted a 273.20 in the preliminary rounds of the platform. Entering into the finals, he was in eighth, Helvie then brought his overall total to 539.60 with his final dive.

Yesterday on the three-meter, he notched a 634.15, placing him 11th. On the first day of competition, Helvie finished sixth on the one-meter springboard with 621.35.

Helvie will compete next at the NCAA Championships in Minneapolis, Minn., on March 15-17.
