ATHENS, Ga. - California senior diver Louie Gagnet grabbed fifth place and freshman teammate Javier Rivas was ninth on the platform on Sunday, the final day of the Georgia Invitational. The Golden Bears, with just their divers, compiled 60 points to finish seventh out of eight teams at the swimming and diving meet. Minnesota won the men's side of the Invitational with 1215.5 points, while Virginia Tech, also with just its divers, was last with 29 points.
Gagnet, who was fourth on the one-meter springboard on Friday and third on the three-meter board on Saturday, collected 434.70 points on the platform. Rivas, who was 12th on the three-meter board, had 342.25 points on the platform.
