BERKELEY - California closes the regular season in the second game of the Bay Area Derby with rival Stanford at 2 p.m. on Veterans Day - Friday, Nov. 11 - at Edwards Stadium. In the first match of the home and home series this season, the teams played to a 1-1 tie through two overtimes on Oct. 9 in Stanford, Calif.

Scouting the Golden Bears
• Freshman midfielder Seth Casiple scored his first collegiate goal in a 1-1 double-overtime tie with San Diego State on Nov. 6 in Berkeley.
• Casiple is tied for fourth in the Pac-12 Conference in assists (6) and ranks third in assists per game (0.38).
• Junior forward John Fitzpatrick, who leads Cal in points (11) and goals (5), collected his first assist of the season on Casiple's goal against the Aztecs.
• Fitzpatrick ranks third in goals per game (0.36) and is tied for third in goals (5) in the Pac-12.
• Fitzpatrick scored in the 27th minute of Cal's 1-1 tie at Stanford on Oct. 9.
• Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Kevin Peach, who played the entire second half and overtime against SDSU in Cal's last game, has compiled a 1.05 goals-against average in six games.
• Peach leads the Pac-12 in save percentage (.854) and saves per game (5.83) and ranks third in the conference in GAA.
• Sophomore goalkeeper Robby Gogatz, who started against SDSU on Nov. 6, has put together a 1.63 GAA in 11 games.
• Gogatz ranks second in saves per game (4.27), fifth in save percentage (.712) and sixth in GAA in the Pac-12.
• Kevin Grimes, now in his 12th season as Cal's head coach, has put together a 131-78-30 all-time record in 11-plus years in Berkeley.

Scouting the Cardinal
• Stanford split its last two games, beating San Diego State, 4-1, on Nov. 4 and losing to then-No. 8 UCLA, 3-0, on Nov. 6 at home.
• Senior midfielder/forward Garrett Gunther leads Stanford in points (10) and goals (4).
• Junior midfielder/forward Eric Anderson paces the Cardinal in assists (3).
• Sophomore goalie Jason Dodson has a 1.51 GAA in 12 games.
• Junior forward Adam Jahn scored in the 78th minute of the 1-1 tie with Cal on Oct. 9.
• Bret Simon is in his 11th year as Stanford's head coach.

Last Time: Bears Tie Aztecs, 1-1, in Berkeley
Seth Casiple has ranked among the Pac-12 Conference leaders in assists for much of the season, but on Nov. 6 the freshman midfielder made his mark as the team's finisher with the first goal of his college career. With the Golden Bears trailing 1-0 to San Diego State, Casiple scored early in the second half of an eventual 1-1 double overtime tie with the Aztecs at Edwards Stadium. Cal snapped a four-game losing streak with the draw.
