BERKELEY - John Fitzpatrick scored two goals, including the gamewinner over rival Stanford, making the sophomore forward the California Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week.

The forward from Encinitas, Calif., kept the Golden Bears unbeaten in their last five games with his 16th-minute header that put them ahead, 1-0. He scored again late, in the 89th minute, beating the offside trap and scoring on a 1v1 with the Cardinal goalkeeper to make the score 2-0. Fitzpatrick also claimed a spot on the College Soccer News National Team of the Week with his weekend performance. The sophomore forward is Cal's second-leading goalscorer with three.
