BERKELEY - - Davis Paul earned California's second-straight Pac-10 Player of the Week award when the conference office honored him on Tuesday, after the senior forward scored a tournament-high three goals at the Golden Bears' recent Cal Legacy Classic.

Last week, Cal senior co-captain A.J. Soares claimed the first Pac-10 Player of the Week award of the 2010 season.

Paul scored twice, including the gamewinner, in a 3-0 victory over UNLV on Sept. 12. On Sept. 10, the Bears trailed Saint Mary's, 1-0, after a second-half goal and battled hard for an equalizer. They earned it when, with just four seconds left in regulation, Paul headed home the tying goal. The Bears, who lost to the Gaels, 2-1, in double overtime, ultimately finished second in the Cal Legacy Classic.

The Upland, Calif., product leads Cal in points (9) and goals (4). He also has one assist.

The Bears (2-1-1) play two more nonconference games in the Bay Area Classic, with a road game at Santa Clara at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 16, and a home game against San Francisco at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 19.
