The California men's soccer program has signed seven players to National Letters of Intent, Golden Bear head coach Kevin Grimes announced on Thursday.
"We are really excited with our 2013 recruiting class," Cal head coach Kevin Grimes said. "These seven players fit perfectly into our team's style of play and our program's culture. We expect to have more signings in the very near future."
Cal signed the following new Bears: Chris Argueta (defender), Randell Black (goalkeeper), Matt Chasman (forward), Nick Lima (forward), Trevor Long (defender), Tommy Padia (midfielder) and Christian Thierjung (forward). All seven are California natives, with four hailing from the southern part of the Golden State and three coming from northern California.
They will join a team with several departing seniors, including co-captains and All-Pac-12 selections Tony Salciccia and Ted Jones.
