BERKELEY, Calif.--The Indiana Hoosiers remained undefeated with a 3-1 win over the California Golden Bears Sunday in the championship match of the California-adidas Foot Locker Tournament. In the day's earlier game, the San Francisco Dons upset the Stanford Cardinal, 1-0.
Indiana (18-0-0) jumped out to an early 1-0 lead when Aleskey Korol hit for the opening goal with a left-foot shot at the 29:55 mark. Despite outshooting the Hoosiers 7-2 in the first half, Cal (10-6-1) entered the break down, 1-0. In the second half, Indiana went up, 2-0, on a goal by Dema Kovalenko in the 58th minute off an assist by Koral. Cal's Juan Luis Romero cut into the lead with an unassisted goal at 69:25.
