Overall thoughts on the game:
"I have a team that is devastated, that is devastated. There's nothing I can say except that you learn in life that sometimes life is not fair. For my seniors, I feel very bad. All I said to them in the locker room was you talk all season long about controlling what you can control. Our guys played their hearts out with a man down. There it is."

"The disappointing part for me is that I don't think I can remember a group of guys that I've coached that were so committed on going back to Santa Barbara [as the host of the NCAA College Cup] and playing in our own national championship. It was something we talked about from day one. We trained, we played, we got to an 0-2-2 start - we grew up. We've been down in a lot of games. If there was ever one team that was going to battle through being a red card down, it was this group."
