BERKELEY - Cal rugby co-captain Keegan Engelbrecht, who notched 14.6 points per game and made 71-of-99 conversion kicks to help the Golden Bears achieve an undefeated championship season, continued his stellar year with his selection to the U.S. National Team's camp on May 4, making the senior flyhalf the Muscle Milk California Student-Athlete of the Week. A two-time All-American with 2010 honors still to be awarded, Engelbrecht reported on May 8 to the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif., for his first call-up to the national team pool, from which the USA team will be selected to play Russia in the Churchill Cup at Infinity Park in Glendale, Colo., June 5. Teammate Colin Hawley, already with a full international appearance on the national team under his belt, was also selected to the pool.
