PHILADELPHIA - The Golden Bears were defeated by Dartmouth, 21-19, in the championship semifinals Sunday in the Collegiate Rugby Championship 7s at PPL Park. California faces Life University in the bronze medal match at 4:28 p.m. ET / 1:28 p.m. PT on NBC TV.

The Bears advanced to the semifinals by beating Texas, 54-5, in the quarterfinal. Dartmouth dispatched Wisconsin, 35-5, earlier in the day.

In a back-and-forth contest with three lead changes, Big Green overcame a 12-point second-half deficit to defeat Cal. The Bears will take the field for the final time in 2012 against the Running Eagles for the tournament's bronze medal, while Dartmouth faces Arizona in the championship final.
