VANCOUVER, British Columbia - The Cal rugby squad was forced to postpone its Sunday match against the University of Victoria due to a change in travel requirements, head coach Jack Clark announced today.

The Bears planned a return match against U. Vic as part of a Canadian trip which saw Cal defeat the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University. However, given Monday classes, Cal's air travel plans proved incompatible with the ferry service between Vancouver Island (home to the University of Victoria) and the mainland.

The postponement may become a cancellation as the Bears spend the next month focused on domestic competition and their bid for an eighth consecutive national title.

U. Vic and Cal have already met once this season with the Bears recording an 18-8 win at home.

Even the shortened road trip achieved two important goals for the Cal side, securing the 'World Cup' with a win over UBC, and providing two tough matches in as many days-a precursor to the demands of the collegiate play-off format.
