BERKELEY - Senior Evan Roth won his first-ever national championship on still rings at the 2009 NCAA Championships April 18 in Minneapolis, making him the Muscle Milk California Student-Athlete of the Week.

Tying his career best with a 15.600 to take the title, Roth brought home the 29th individual title in Cal men's gymnastics' history and the 12th for the Bears in the past nine years.

Roth was also Cal's sole representative on vault, where he finished fifth with a 15.875.
