TOP-RANKED CAL BACK IN ACTION AT PAC-12 PREVIEW
Top-ranked Cal continues its 2012-13 season at the inaugural Pac-12 Preview this Monday-Tuesday, October 8-9. The event is hosted by Oregon State at the par-72,7,741-yard Witch Hollow Course of the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club and will serve as a preview to the 2013 Pac-12 Championship, when the same 12 teams will tee it up April 26-28 at The Los Angeles Country Club, with the Golden Bears attempting to defend the first conference title in school history they won in 2011-12. The Pac-12 boasts three of the country's top four teams in No. 1 Cal, No. 3 Washington and No. 4 UCLA, while No. 13 Stanford is in the top 25, and No. 36 Oregon State and No. 47 Washington State in the top 50. The teams will play 36 holes of the 54-hole stroke play event on Monday, before finishing with 18 holes Tuesday. The first tee time is scheduled both days for 8:20 a.m. PT.
