CAL OPENS 2012-13 SEASON AT GOPHER INVITATIONAL
Cal (No. 3 Golfworld Nike) will open its 2012-13 season at the Gopher Invitational this Saturday-Sunday, September 9-10. The event hosted by Minnesota will take place at the Spring Hill Golf Club. Cal is the highest of five nationally ranked teams in the 15-team field. Arkansas (8), Kent State (18), New Mexico (23) and Oklahoma (25) are the other nationally ranked teams in addition to the Golden Bears. The first 36 holes of the 54-hole stroke play event are scheduled to be played on Sunday, followed by the final 18 holes Monday. The teams will tee off both days with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. EDT/5:30 a.m. PDT.
