Live Scoring | Single-Elimination Match Play Bracket | Stroke Play Final Results

DALY CITY, Calif. - Eric Mina and George Gandranata continue play today in the Round of 32 at the CGA California State Amateur on Lake Merced Golf Course, making the cut after Tuesday's conclusion of stroke play with Mina in a tie for 18th (70-73 - 143) at 1-under and Gandaranta in 23rd at even par (74-70 - 144).

Mina, a rising junior from Fremont now seeded 14th, takes on No. 19 seed Grant Rapplye of Elk Grove as the tournament shifts to single-elimination match play today, while Grandranata, a 2009 graduate from Emeryville now seeded 23rd, tees off against No. 10 seed Scott Travers of Trabuco Canyon.

Each day's winners advance to the following day's round, with a champion crowned after Saturday's final round

Fellow Golden Bears Stephen Hale (72-76 - 148, +4) and and Devin Hexner (76-77 - 153, +9) did not advance in the 156-player field.

Lake Merced Golf Course was redesigned in 1929 under the guidance of Dr. Alister MacKenzie and more recently in 1996 by Rees Jones. This championship marks the first time since its inception in 1912 that the State Amateur has been played in Northern California away from the Monterey Peninsula. The championship began at Del Monte GC, then shifted to Pebble Beach in 1919 and Monterey Peninsula Country Club in 2007.

Entry for spectators is free for this event at Lake Merced.
