BERKELEY - Michael Kim remained in the No. 1 spot on the latest Haskins Award watch list for the honor given annually to the nation's top player in men's collegiate golf, while teammate Joël Stalter is at No. 4. Kim has now been on top of the watch list each of the three times it has been released this spring. Kim, also the nation's No. 1 ranked player by both Golfstat and Golfweek, has a school-record and team-high four individual wins during the 2012-13 season with all four coming in his last five tournaments. He has finished in the top 10 in each of his nine events this season and leads Cal with a 69.93 stroke average that ranks third nationally. Stalter has two tournament victories and five top-10 finishes in his seven events. He is second on the squad with a 70.33 stroke average. No. 1 Cal will be out of action for nearly four weeks before resuming its season April 5-7 at the Arizona State Thunderbird Invitational. The Bears have won eight of nine tournaments in 2012-13, 14 of their last 23 overall dating back to the beginning of the 2011-12 campaign and finished in the top five in all 23.
