MELBOURNE, Australia - Brandon Hagy finished 20th at the 2013 Australian Master of the Amateurs Championship that concluded Friday at The Royal Melbourne Golf Club. Hagy was seven-over par for the 72-hole event (73-79-70-73 - 295).

Australian teenager Viraat Badhwar (67-74-68-70 - 279) won the title, becoming the youngest golfer to ever capture individual medalist honors during the 15 years of the event.

Hagy and his Cal teammates will return to action January 28-29 for the first tournament of the spring portion of the team's 2012-13 schedule with the Arizona Intercollegiate at Arizona National in Tucson.

The Bears finished the fall portion of their schedule as the top-ranked team in all three major national polls - Golf World/Nike Golf, Golfweek and Golfstat - after winning or sharing the title in each of their five fall events for the first time in school history. Cal is already within one victory of the school-record six events won by the 2011-12 team. Dating back through all of the 2011-12 season, Cal has won 11 of its last 19 events and finished in the top five in all 19. The Bears reached the NCAA semifinals a year ago after winning their first Pac-12 Championship and NCAA Regional team titles along the way.
