TEMPE, Ariz. - The Arizona State men's golf team shot a 17-under-par 559 through two rounds to take a 10 stroke lead over Pac-10 foe UCLA heading into Sunday's final round of the ASU Thunderbird/Savane Invitational.

Paul Casey led ASU with a 7-under 137 finishing the day second overall. Jeff Quinney ended 5-under 139 (tied-fifth overall), Greg Padilla 4-under 140 (tied-eighth overall), Matt Jones even 144 (T17th overall) and Jin Park 6-over 150.

UCLA's B.J. Schlagenhauf is the individual leader at 8-under-par 136.

ASU has won the Thunderbird/Savane Tourney eight times in the 26-year history of the event, most recently in 1997. ASU has won the tournament seven of the past 10 years.

Play begins Sunday at ASU's Karsten Golf Course at 6:45 a.m.

NOTE: Robert Hamilton of California shot a 7-under-par 65 in his second round to tie a competitive-play course record.
