GENERAL:Showed signs of becoming a solid player, especially as he transitioned to concentrating on golf after being a two-sport athlete in basketball and golf as a prep.
2012-13 (AS A FRESHMAN): Left the team in February of 2013 after not playing in the fall of 2012.
AMATEUR
2012 - Tied for second at Lompoc City Championship (76-72 - 148) ... tied for eighth at Ventura City Championship (69-75 - 144).
2011 - Won U.S. Junior Amateur qualifier at Crane Creek Country Club in Boise (72-72 - 144) and was a California Big I championship qualifier at Moreno Valley Ranch (70) ... tied for ninth at Santa Barbara City Championship (74-70-72 - 216) ... played in the stroke-play portion of U.S. Junior Amateur but did not reach match play.
2010 - Won SCPGA Junior Tour General Old Fall Challenge (69).
2009 - Tied for seventh at Toyota Tour Cup Rancho San Marcos (74-75 - 149).
SAN MARCOS HS: A 2012 graduate of San Marcos High School ... reached Southern California finals as a 2012 senior after taking second at regional level ... reached section finals in his 2010 sophomore campaign ... a three-time All-Santa Barbara County selection (2010-12) ... qualified for section tournament in each of his four prep campaigns by being among the top six golfers in the Channel League ... a team captain in each of his final two seasons (2011, '12) ... had a low round of 66 and averaged 73.0 strokes per round in his senior campaign, improving upon his 74.5 average as a junior ... had the first double eagle in Channel League history as a sophomore when he sunk his second shot on the par-five fourth hole at Buenaventura Golf Course on his way to a two-under par 68 ... had a team victory over eventual state champion Santa Barbara High School as a sophomore ... also played three seasons of prep basketball and was an All-Southern Section player and the Santa Barbara Athletic Roundtable Player of the Year as a senior when he led the league in both scoring (13.0 ppg) and rebounding (8.0 rpg) ... garnered All-Channel League recognition and was a team captain in each of his final two seasons ... popped in a career-high 33 points against Santa Barbara High School during his senior season ... team won a Channel League title during his sophomore campaign and reached the second round of the Southern Section playoffs in each of his final three seasons ... earned a 4.4 prep GPA and was a two-time California Honor Society member ... additional extra-curricular activities included being the 2012 Associated Student Body Commissioner of Athletics and a member of the Autism Awareness Club.
