One more entry. A lot went on today with a day that started for CalBears.com at 4:58 a.m. and earlier for many of the Cal football coaches. In the early evening hours, the official signing day press release was posted along with the press conference video, selected quotes from the press conference and a compliation recruit highlight video. Then, it was off to a donor event at The Claremont Resort & Spa and back to upload the day's final post. Good night!!!

2:42 p.m.
If you still haven't got enough, head over to 680 KNBR and listen to Tedford talk about this year's signing class on "The Razor and Mr. T." show with Ralph Barbieri and Tom Tolbert.

1:42 p.m.
There's much more to come with Cal's 2011 Signing Day still this afternoon. CalBears.com will have the video and selected quotes from head coach Jeff Tedford's official press conference. If you still haven't got enough, head over to 680 KNBR and listen to Tedford talk about this year's signing class on "The Razor and Mr. T." show with Ralph Barbieri and Tom Tolbert.

11:53 a.m.
DL Viliami Moala currently graces the front page of the Maxpreps.com website.

10:07 a.m.
DB Jordan Morgan (9:50 a.m.) is now a Golden Bear. Rumors floating around snow in Northern Arizona might have kept him from getting his LOI sent earlier. He won't have to worry about that in Berkeley.

9:48 a.m.
Here comes yet another highly rated defensive lineman in DE Brennan Scarlett (9:30 a.m.). Scarlett ranks as high as No. 9 among the nation's defensive ends according to Rivals. He is also Rivals' No. 2 player overall from the state of Oregon.

9:07 a.m.
It's official, defensive lineman Viliami Moala and Puka Lopa from Grant High School in Sacramento are in. The 80 freeway should be busy for the next few years with fans making the trip down the Capitol Corridor to see the dynamic duo. Moala is a five-star recruit of Scout and Tom Lemming, and also the No. 2 defensive tackle nationally according to Lemming, Scout and SuperPrep, and the No. 4 player overall according to SuperPrep. Lopa may not be rated quite as high but has put up similar stats to his teammate over the last two seasons. All told, Moala (297 tackles, 35.0 sacks) and Lopa (245 tackles, 451.0 sacks) have combined to record 542 tackles and 86.0 sacks over the last two seasons for a squad that was 39-2 during the period and won a state title in 2008.

8:15 a.m.
LB Jalen Jefferson (8:12 a.m.) is the latest Golden Bear.

7:59 a.m.
Let's wrap up the 7 o'clock hour with some more Golden Bears in the fold. That makes 10 Cali guys in the first hour they can send in their LOI's. Who said it's "laid back" all the time out here, not on National Signing Day. The latest Bears are DB Stefan McClure (7:33), LB Jason Gibson, OL Jordan Rigsbee (7:45) and DL Mustafa Jalil (7:57). Now, if the CalBears.com staff could just keep up.

7:37 a.m.
Here's that flurry we were talking about. Including Willis, the first half 18 minutes has yielded six new Golden Bears. If practices continue in the morning next fall, good thing these guys are early birds. Welcome TB C.J. Anderson (7:08), QB Kyle Boehm, TB Kameron Jackson (7:13), DL Todd Barr and TB Brendan Bigelow (7:18).

The CalBears.com staff is feverishly working to try to get all this recent info posted on the site. Go Bears!!!

7:16 a.m.
The first West Coast guy is in. DB Joel Willis from Garden Grove is now a Bear as of 7:02 a.m. PT. He's not only quick in getting his LOI in ... he's also run a hand-time 4.37 in the 40.

6:50 a.m.
We are experiencing technical difficulties with the roster and video portions of CalBears.com/SigningDay. We hope to have those fixed soon. For now, stay up-to-date by following the blog ... 10 minutes from LOI's from the Pacific Time Zone being able to be received!

6:37 a.m.
What they're saying ...
"They are getting everybody. Overall, at every single position just about they are getting a guy who can play."
-- ESPN.com West Coast recruiting analyst Greg Biggins on Cal's 2011 signing class as told to Contra Costa Times beat writer Jonathan Okanes for his story in the Contra Costa Times on Feb. 2, 2011.

Q: How tough was the decision to go to California?
A: "It was kind of tough just knowing that it's far away from my family. But once I got out there and sat down with the coaches, I just knew it was the right place for me. The location's wonderful, the coaching staff seems like they're on my side, and they're wanting me to become a better person and a better player. And going there, I know I will definitely pursue that goal."
-- TB Daniel Lasco answers a fan's question during a Q&A session that was published on the Houston Chronicle website on Feb. 2, 2011.

6:25 a.m.
All the way from St. John's High School in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, the LOI for TE Richard Rodgers has come in. It officially landed at 6:04 a.m. PT.

6:09 a.m.

An hour away from guys in the Pacific Time Zone being able to officially come on board. Expect a flurry!!!

If you're counting, that's three players from Texas (Broussard, Ervin, Lasco), one from Georgia (Walls), one from North Carolina (Harris), and one from Liverpool, England (Williams).

Click on each of their names for much more information, including a bio, prep video highlights and stories from media outlets throughout the day.

4:58 a.m.
The CalBears.com crew walked in a few minutes before they were scheduled to arrive and were "greeted" by a group of coaches, including Jeff Tedford, intently and intensely watching coverage of National Signing Day on ESPNU. You've got to wonder if these guys made it home last night. Once our compliance director David Ortega arrives we'll start letting you know who's National Letters-of-Intent are coming through the fax machine or via email.
