CLEVELAND, Ohio - Four Cal players were named to Phil Steele's 2012 Postseason All-Pac-12 Team announced on Tuesday. Keenan Allen was selected as both a first-team punt returner and third-team wide receiver. Offensive lineman Brian Schwenke and placekicker Vincenzo D'Amato picked up second-team honors, while Steve Williams was a third-team defensive pick as a defensive back.

Allen finished the 2012 campaign with team highs of 61 receptions, 737 receiving yards and six touchdown catches despite missing the final three games due to injury to earn honorable mention All-Pac-12 honors at wide receiver from the league's coaches. At the end of the 2012 regular season, Allen ranked third in the Pac-12 and 22nd nationally in per-game receptions (6.78 rpg), as well as sixth in the league and 36th nationally in receiving yards (81.89 ypg). In addition, he led the conference and ranked fifth nationally in punt returns with an average of 14.13 yards per return, while ranking 10th in the conference and 67th nationally in all-purpose yardage (109.78), and 22nd in the Pac-12 in scoring (5.33 ppg).

In the final game of Allen's 2012 season and career at Utah, he became Cal's all-time leader in receptions with 205 to surpass former record-holder Geoff McArthur (202, 2000-04). Following the end of the 2012 campaign, he announced on Dec. 5 his intentions to forego his senior season at Cal and declare for the 2013 NFL Draft. Allen is also in the career record books along with brother and quarterback Zach Maynard for the longest pass play in school history when the pair connected for a 90-yard score at Washington in 2011. His 13 catches against USC in 2011 is tied for third on Cal's all-time single-game reception list, while his 197 receiving yards at Washington the same season is fifth. In addition, he equaled DeSean Jackson as the fastest player in Cal history to reach both 1,000 career receiving yards in his 16th career game vs. Utah and 100 career receptions in his 18th contest against Washington State, both in 2011, as Jackson reached both respective marks in 2006 in the same number of total games in his career. Allen also totaled 3,458 all purpose yards to rank just outside the school's all-time top 10, adding 30 rushes for 258 yards (7.7 ypr) and two touchdowns on the ground, 21 punt returns for 252 yards, and 18 kick returns for 406 yards. He caught a pass in each of the 33 games (29 starts) he played in at Cal from 2010-12, scoring 120 points on 17 touchdown receptions, two scoring runs and one punt return TD. He is also one of only two players in Cal history to have two single seasons among the school's top-10 all-time in receptions. His 98 receptions for 1,343 yards in 2011 were both second, while his 61 receptions in 2012 ranked ninth.

13 - Vincenzo D'Amato, PK, 6-1, 200, Jr., 2L, Lake Forest, CA (El Toro HS)
D'Amato, who was a first-team All-Pac-12 choice of the coaches, ended the 2012 regular season as the conference's per-game leader in field goals made (1.33 fgmpg) while ranking fifth in field goal percentage (16-23, 69.6%). He was also tied for 31st nationally in field goals made. D'Amato scored a team and career-high 78 points in 2012, making 30-of-33 extra points to add to his 16 field goals. He ranked seventh in the conference in scoring among kickers (6.5 ppg) and tied for 14th in the conference overall. D'Amato made 11 consecutive field goals at one point during the campaign. He is Cal's active career scoring leader with 130 points, making 23-of-35 field goals and 61-of-64 extra-point attempts since he began his Cal career in 2009.

57 - Brian Schwenke, OL, 6-4, 300, Sr., 3L, Oceanside, CA (Oceanside HS)
Schwenke, a first-team All-Pac-12 pick of the league's coaches, was one of only five players to start each of the team's 12 games in 2012. He finished his career with 48 games played out of a possible total of 50, while starting 36 contests over his four seasons with the Bears. After making each of his first 24 starts at either left guard (16) or right guard (8) during the 2010 and 2011 campaigns, Schwenke moved to center during the spring of 2012 and made all 12 of his starts as a senior at the position. He added his first career reception for three yards in 2012 after coming up with a batted ball.

1 - Steve Williams, DB, 5-10, 185, Jr., 2L, Dallas, TX (Skyline HS)
Williams shared the club lead in 2012 with three interceptions, while his 10 pass breakups and 13 passes defended were both team highs, with the latter ranked tied for sixth in the conference at the end of the 2012 regular season with a per-game average of 1.08. He was also third among all Cal players with 80 tackles and tied for 15th in the Pac-12 with an average of 6.7 stops per game. Williams added 7.0 tackles for loss (-18 yards) and one forced fumble in 2012. His career totals include 150 tackles, 9.0 tackles for loss (-22 yards), 1.0 sack (-2 yards), six interceptions for 45 return yards, 25 pass breakups, 31 passes defended and three forced fumbles.
